blu-ray drive sounds ****ed send it into sony or buy a new drive of ebay

Try loading up a demo then press the ps button and see if the icon is there.

hmm never had this problem before so i wouldnt know sorry.

and tried the demo thing with the PS button. i wanna know lets say a fix like YLOD without buying a new laser. for example like either cleaning the lens or moving maybe lets say

mine does the same thing but after trying to fix it my discs get stuck in the ps3 and i need a screw driver to get it out

you could restore factory settings on your ps3, its in the menus somewhere as restore defaults i think, but be sure to back up your data 1st

lol i tried restoring my data. i found out that my blu ray laser is totally gone like burnt out so i gotta buy a new one
