yes, the latest patch fixed it, but if you remove your gamedata, and do not install the latest patch. It will work

That's pretty much it, what do i lack in info?

delete game data(ie latest patch)
remove ETHERNET CABLE or disconnect from your wifi so the ps3 has no connection to the internet so it wont ask u to updated after you deleted the patch..................ie the also work for god of war titan mode health glitch i did it recently to get the platinum
