Infinity Ward has announced that the original Call of Duty going on for the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Marketplace. That we knew a few months ago too posts, but when we still lack detailed information.
For Call of Duty will only be given to the special editions of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. For these special versions, the game says ported as a stand-alone game which will be free to download.
When the original Call of Duty will be offered to all, remains unclear. Free will, however, only for the owners of one of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 packages. It is already known that the original game a full multiplayer mode will contain.

I'm not exactly sure. I think (think being the key word) that they went in and re-did it a little bit. I do remember hearing that they did something for it to be on the ps3 and 360. But I don't know if they made the graphics any better. I'm sure they improved them at least a little bit. But if they didn't, well it's still a free game (if you get the Hardened or Prestige Edition of MW2) you know?
I'm pretty sure they will edit it a bit maybe upgrade the graphics a bit.

If you are planning on getting MW2 then you might as well throw in an extra $20 to get the Hardened Version of the game. That version I think will come with a code that will allow you to download Call of Duty 1 from the PSN Store.

Can’t trickshot me!
i went on that game a couple months ago and tryed to find glitches and what not and only found but thats with the rocket jump to a second floor but im not the best glitcher and if you go play online, on one of the maps you will see that they took that map from that game and put it in cod4 (the map im talking about is china town in cod4) and i think there a couple more they took those maps but im not sure

Yeah all of us already knew the map was carentan from the first cod. It was on COD 2 also.

I wouldn't necessarily call it "free" because you are paying extra for it
. (The price goes from $60.00-75.00, the 15.00 is the hardened case and the Classic game, but you do get a bit of a discount if anybody is catching what I am saying!)
