When I first got my PS3 I had it working fine on a non HDMI TV and was using the standard Component AV cables.
I now have a HDMI TV and use HDMI but when I put my PS3 in the not HDMI TV it will not work, I also tried it on my normal TV with just the Component AV cables but it did not work.
Is this something wrong with my Component AV cables or is my PS3 in some special HDMI only mode?

There is nothing wrong with your cables... Close your ps3, put the av cables correct in your tv and then open your ps3 but keep your finger on the button until you hear beep. Your ps3 will recognize your tv and it will be good.

connect the avcables abd hold down the power button to reset video

your ps3 is looking for a hdmi signal but there is none


if this dont work
connect both of them
go to the hdmi channel your ps3 iso on
go to display settings change it to av i think its the bottom one
go to the av channel hit accept
you will need to do audio too
