All games have this folder(~250 MB),and if i delete all PS3_UPDATE in all games it'll save up a lot of space (especially if you got tons of games), and all games still work correctly.
HOW? In your downloaded game folder, you'll have something like this: BLUS06969/PS3_GAME and PS3_UPDATE. Delete the PS3 UPDATE.

If your game is on your int HDD already, open Multiman's filemanager (full left column), go to dev0_hdd/GAMES/GAME_NAME_ID/ and delete the PS3 UPDATE folder (circle or square?)


2)Remove the extra languages!

This is probably the biggest saver, removing a good number of gigs.
HOW? This is not exact science, it depends on each game. Usually EUR games have several languages (typically French, Spanish, and a few more). Our goal is to remove EVERYTHING related to those assuming we'll be playing the game in ENGLISH ONLY.

TIP: Have two copies of the game you want to rip. One remains intact as our backup, the second you can modify, test to make sure it isnt broken, then play/keep it.

Typically, cinematics/audio are found here:
GAME_NAME/USRDIR/...

Your job is to go file hunting, and after you done it a few times, you'll know what you're looking for. Usually they are .psarc files (big ones) and they are marked with "blah_blah_FR" or "french.psarc". Sometimes, you'll find whole folders named "french", and you got to delete them. Look out for folders called 'audio', 'speech', 'movies', 'cinematic', that's where they usually lie.

Also, the language files are the most obvious to spot. Usually in one folder, or as whole bunch of seperate files. But if you see "_INT" don't remove that one, because it's for the English language.

Example:You have 4 files: 'audio_barn_int', 'audio_barn_fr', 'audio_barn_es', 'audio_barn_de' then delete all 3 except the FIRST one.

Best way to explain is an example:

Under God of War III/PS3_GAME/USRDIR/PS3_CONTENT/VIDEODIR
Remove:
GERMAN.PSARC
SPANISH.PSARC
PORTUGUESE.PSARC
ITALIAN.PSARC
FRENCH.PSARC
DUTCH.PSARC
RUSSIAN.PSARC
POLISH.PSARC

Result? OVER 5.5gb saved!!




3)Remove 3D Movies/Bonus contents!

Same process as the step before, this time you hunt for CINEMATICS! Most games runs even when you delete the cinematics (if you dont care for the story), and those will save a great deal of space.

Example: GOW3/USRDIR/SOUNDS/STREAMS/CINEMATICS
Delete entire contents => save 500mb.

Remove all Bonus movies from USRDIR/CINEMATICS =>save 12gigs!!




4)Uninstall Home
When you first used Home it asked you how much space you would like to reserve for the game data for Home. It should be 500mb to a few gigs. So uninstall Home to save space and it being useless on CFW. You can reinstall it later if you wish to
HOW?
To delete, just go to the Home icon and hit triangle. From there and select delete.



5)Remove old games installed data

How? On the XMB, go to GAME > GAME DATA UTILITY > Choose game name > Triangle > DELETE!


6)Remove old games installed updates

Same as game data:
How? On the XMB, go to GAME > GAME DATA UTILITY > Choose game name (it'll have DLC or update) > Triangle > DELETE!


FINALLY: DO NOT TRY TO PLAY THE GAME IN LANGUAGE YOU DELETED THE LANGUAGE PACK FOR! IT'LL CRASH!

nice tutorial dude, I've done removing useless ( for me) languages so far and everything still works like a charm

yeah i cant understand french and other languages theres no point of having them XD

You should put CFW required in BIG red letters

really thats a given if you read also there is some non cfw stuff
