I was just wondering what I could do with the harddrive? or do i have to put everything in the garbage? like ive some new compound paste but when i put it on, it goes on for 2 sec then beeps like twice then shows a yellow light then shows a flashing red light...... i am now using a slim ps3?

you can use that HDD for a back up. and did you use the heat gun also?

yes i did and nothing changed. i prob fried sum chips in there or fried the power supply.... but if i put my old hdd into my new will i have a diff FW?

no but but if you go here you'll have all of your files from the old HDD.

lol iight. well its mostly becuz if u could use the HDD and keep the FW on it, it would be sick xD But it fking sux that u cant repair it cuz i was 120% sure i could've hav jailbroken it if it was repaired..... oh well

yeah. i thought the same thing also. my 80gb ps3 had ylod, fixed it, jailbroke it, 3months later ylod, no luck. its trash.
