According to Platform Nation, Rocksteady is reportedly rectifying this with the addition of a New Game+ mode in Batman: Arkham City. Once you clear the game, you can go back and redo it all but with all of the skills and gadgets you've unlocked during your previous playthrough.

Here's an excerpt from PlatformNation's PAX Prime 2011 report: "The game is said to be at least forty hours long and will also feature a 'game plus' system like we have seen in previous games -such as Ratchet and Clank- that will allow players to go back through the game using all the gadgets and upgrades they unlocked during their first play through."

The report also gives out a few details regarding the game's new bells and whistles, including a more advanced upgrade system for Batman's gadgets. Combat is also more stylish and fluid, and detective mode won't be as easy to exploit. Gamers will be able to walk a mile in Batman's (as well as Robin's and Catwoman's) boots come October 18th.
