Post: Problems with the 3.70 update

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Am I the only one having problems with this?

Basically I updated the console and after a week the game froze and crashed. Since then I haven't been able to load up a disc.
The console can tell there is a disc because there is a blue light and the clock loads when i put the disc in. I have tried replacing the blue ray player but still had the same outcome. I also tried a new hard drive but that wasn't the problem either. A few times the game has loaded but it usually reaches a loading screen and crashes the ps3 or comes up with an error such as 8001050f or 80010514.

The warranty ran out a year ago but up to this point there have been no problems with it and i regularly have the console blown out.

Please help because i know sony will tell me to just buy a new one

Do a barrel roll!
when you tried the new blu ray drive did you put the other circuit board on the new one?

no, but i downloaded a demo off the playstation store and that plays fine.

Also, the other PS3 that i took the blue ray off had the YLOD so it wouldn't work

ok hold down the power button till the system starts up then turns back off when off hold it again till 2 consecutive beeps

pick rebuild data base

after that do a restore

see if that works
im pretty sure you dont need a bd drive for demos but i could be wrong

i have the same problem.. apparently the most common fault is the internal battery causeing this then the blueray drive

i've already tried doing something like hold down the power until you hear 2 bleeps and then click the 3rd...is it worth trying the other one

and is there a way of testing the internal battery?
