(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); i just got an avermedia HD DVR capture card but hdmi is HDCP protected so i tried fraps and that wount record said screen for some reson, so can i get a HDMI to componet converter, then plug that into my avermedia component slot and record that or will it still have the HDCP on the component due to the transfer?

So wait, let me try and figure out what you mean. Are you trying to use a hdmi cord instead of component cables? Plz explain better if im wrong.
