Housemarque has revealed a brand new downloadable expansion for their hit PSN top-down zombie shooter, Dead Nation.

Dubbed as “Road of Devastation,” the upcoming content features three different scenarios to play through, each with their own unique twist and challenges.

"Continuing from the events where the original game left off (or, is it actually the other way around…Winky Winky, =D Road of Devastation will put your skills to the ultimate test," notes Housemarque's Game Designer Petteri Putkonen in a post over at the PlayStation blog. "You’ll find yourself waking up in a laboratory with only one way out. Outside the door you’re presented with a choice – a crossroads leading to three different paths, each with their own unique environments, challenges and enemies waiting for you. If you manage to overcome the challenges, just when you think it’s over, you’ll make a startling revelatio.

"In addition to the range of enemies and weapons you’re already familiar with from the original game, Road of Devastation will present you with a variety of new tools and equipment to dispose of enemies with, while also introducing new enemies and obstacles you’ll encounter in unique new environments."

More details about the DLC will be revealed soon including the release date and price. Housemarque notes that over 3.8 million unique users are now playing the game, this could be possibly due to the previous "PSN Welcome Back Program" which offered the game for free to all PSN members affected by the network outage.

Ahh, about time. Game became boring for me after about 2 months. Playing with friends is still quite fun, but hopefully this will bring some sort of spark back to the game. :y:
