I want to record my screen and wanted to buy a HD PVR but now I saw that i already have one.

Tell yourself that its broken and buy a new one yourself. 
Should work, but not so self-thaught yet.
Since you only have 1 HDMI output (seemed strange?). If the HDMI is for recording, you wont get full HD when looking at the screen yourself while recording I guess.

Ah, I cant exchange it for another one.. But I dont think it's gonna work?
