Post: Largest HDD that can be installed in PS3?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Does anyone know if there is a largest HDD that can be installed into the PS3? As in, the most space you can get from factory is like 320GB but I can pretty easily order a 1TB laptop drive from Newegg. Thanks for any help you can offer.

I may be mistaken but if I recall, the Ps3's file system can only go to 2 Tb's.

idk what you need more then 1tb on a ps3 for seriously even if you copy games on the HDD why have more then 5 on at a time your not playing them all at once so it makes sense why have have more then 1tb

It's because he could use a mix of things. It could be music, movies, games, and update data. My 500GB has over 100GB used on just games alone so if he wants his PS3 to really be a media player, he'll get more space.
