(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So I had not played my GTA IV in awhile. So when I went to put it in my ps3 and play, it said update v1.06 was available. But when I click update, it goes to a black screen, then the PS3 reboots it self and I am brought back to the XMB. The disc is scratchless being that it was sitting in its case for a long time. I tried deleting the gamesave and save data and the same thing happens. Does anyone know how I can fix this and play GTA again?

My PS3 is a 320GB Slim

Try waiting until the HDD light stops flashing on your PS3. Thats what we have to do for PSHome so idk if it works for this or not

When it asks you to update, try leaving it for about 10 seconds and then press x. Should work.

my cod4 did this, reboot the system with the disk inside when the update screen comes up leave it alone for about 2-3 min, then download.

In the event this doesn't work cancel the update and play the campaign for a few minutes, exit game and relaunch, then try the update.
