I picked up a few of these DECR 1010e controllers for ps3 the other week and couldn't find a lot of information about them.

Wondered if anyone could help me understand what they're for?
They say "wireless controller for reference tool" on the back.
They weigh about the same as a Sixaxis controller (quite light I found, compared to my dualshocks) but don't have "Sixaxis" or "Dualshock" on the top as most controllers do.

I stumbled across a few pages where people wanted to buy one, and all the information I could gather that they're (maybe) used on test/debug consoles and don't work on retail ps3s (which I tested on my 3.70 phat, takes and holds charge but won't connect.)

Are they worth anything?
Can they work with retail ps3s?

Okay first

yes they can do ALOT for the PS3 scene and devs nothing good for average user

2nd they can reproduce alot of the ps3 and its code its simlper
