(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So I have a fat and a slim PS3. I have a 500GB HD in the fat one and want to put it in the new one. When I do it says it is not formatted right when in fact they are both updated to to current update. THey are both PS3's and the HD is already formatted for a PS3. What is the problem and how do I get around this?

You cant you have to reformat the HDD when you place it in a different PS3 this is because the PS3 applies encryption to the HDD and its done to a certain PS3.

Do a barrel roll!
Well, do you mean it won't work even if you format? Or you want to use it without formatting?
