Post: Looking for a new 3.55 PS3.

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Well, my PS3 on CFW 3.55 got the YLOD yesterday, and I'm looking for a new one. Why? So I can continue to have FUN in MW2, CoD4 and W@W, in my Challenge Lobby's, but I can't change the patch... And I want too :(

Anyway, is there anywhere that sells a PS3 on the 3.55 FW. I've found this You must login or register to view this content. but I don't know if its on 3.55 or lower. Please help.

Also, I don't host for randoms anymore. I only host for friends. So please don't reply asking for a lobby. Cause you won't get one.

Go to gamestop/ebay. If not, make sure the slim model is CECH-2501a which comes with 3.50 fw

Thanks, is there anyway to check the model online, or do I have to go to the store?

this happened to me the other week, was mortified but i found a video on youtube of a guy who managed to fix the ylod but its a quick fix....what he done was took everything out the ps3 packaging box, put it in the box with the fans and vents facing outwards...took a hair dryer and then blasted the fans at the back for 10-15 minutes making slow strafing movements along the back of the console. what this does is melts the parts that caused the fault back into the position its meant to be in.... i done this, the back of the console started to melt and warp...but like 3-4 hours later, i checked it again and bam!! it worked!! i was well shocked....if its out of warrenty i suggest giving it a try Winky Winky ps make sure there is no disk or anything else in or attatched to the console before doing it xD haha xx

let us know if this has helped you Happy xx
