(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I need to replace my hard drive/disk in my ps3 because of the "could not find correct hard disk" error.
I have tried everything and nothing is working so I am going to try to replace it.
This is the name of the drive. Western Digital - Scorpio Blue WD1600BPVT 160 GB 2.5" Plug-in Module Hard Drive
Im not sure what "plug in" means because some of them don't have that in the name. I know how to replace one.
I don't have much money on me so if you find another hard drive for like 60 bucks or under would be fine.

The fw might be the problem, if it is 3.5X. If you have a way to plug that drive into your pc through usb for testing, just to be ok. Plug in just refers to that it can be inserted and removed like a usb drive.

So would a plug in still work to use for my ps3?

Yes, it should. See if it can be recognized under the service mode, might help.
