(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Basically, I've had my PS3 for almost 3 years and for a while the fan has made a loud whirring noise after about 15 minutes of the system being turned on.
I was wondering if there's any way to get rid of this?
Thanks in advance.

Might as well give a lubricant like WD40 a go before spending money on a new fan
In saying that simply maintenance will help, clean all the dust out, clean the fan, put new thermal past on.

Do those steps and the fan will not need to work so hard and will stop making annoying sounds.

This happened to mine, about 3 months later it got YLOD. This could be a sign, but try blowing all the dust out or something.

Open it up and clean it out. over the years dust goes everywhere and blocks the fan

yes there is , i had the same problem , easy solution , go grab your vacuum , turn it on , put the nozzle up to the side of the ps3 where the fan is , unclog your fan , clean it very good , turn it on , no noise , your welcome Happy
