Post: PS3 Update problem

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); When I try to update my ps3 it stops at 99% and an error pops up and tells me to reset the console. When I reboot it, it goes straight into updating and the same thing happens. Any suggestions? I tried taking out the hdd and it didn't work. I wasn't on a CFW.

Have same problem, was updating from OFW 3.56 -> OFW 3.73 with broken BD. It fails at ~67% always and needs to reboot. After turning on it tries to update again and again..
While trying to access recovery mode so: hold power, beep that turns on, beep, turns off, again holding (afterwards wont run), beep that turns on, beeps twice and... keeps updating! No ask for connecting gamepad.
What could I do to restore my PS3 System back to functionality even on old OFW.

lets put it this way if ur BD IS NOT CONNECTED TO THE MOTHERBOARD IT WILL NOT LOAD OR IF ANYTHING IS NOT CONNECTED PROPER IT WILL GIVE YOU THIS ERROR BEST THING IS MAKE SHURE EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED PROPER IF SO REBUILD IN THAT MENU COULD BE HDD TO DEPENDING WICH IT SAYS THIS IS DUE TO HARDWARE PROBLEMS
