(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok so I'm going to get to the point here. I ordered my E3 Limited Edition Flasher and will be receiving it in the next 2-3 days.
Currently Im still on 3.55CFW but I have Mw3 and want to play it on PSN so I got the E3 flasher so I can play newer games that
require 3.6x+ to play!

Anyways, after reading up on the E-3 it seems that once you downgrade you MUST use Team E-3's custom FW 3.55 , and you can NOT
use any other type of OFW/CFW 3.55 or you risk bricking. I did some research on this "E-3 no-check3.55 CFW" and it seems that the
reason for using this is because it has Dospiedras’s LV1 no-check patches implemented.

SO: I looked around seeking any other CFW releases that used the same LV1 no-check patches and one particular CFW I ran into was a(n)
updated release of "RogeroCFW 3.55" (version 2). I did some reading up on the FW and it seems to have the same Lv1 no-check patches
implemented as Team E-3's "NoCheck.3.55 CFW'.

Having that said, in 2-3 days when my e-3 flasher arrives I will be making a video for NGU members on how to install and use the flasher on a slim 120GB console with 2 HDD's (dual boot) . Once installed I will proceed to downgrade, once downgraded to 3.55 via the E-3 Flasher I will back up my BIOS and everything then I will attempt to install "RogeroCFW 3.55 v.2" and see if it works! If this does indeed work then we should NOT be limited to E-3's "no-check3.55 FW" OR the recommended "Nocheck 3.55 version of multiman" that E-3 has available for download on their website: claiming it is the only backup manager that will work on their "E-3 nocheck 3.55 FW"

Anyone here that owns the E-3 flasher or that is on the "E-3 Nocheck 3.55 FW" then you could try installing "Rogero CFW 3.55 v.2" but MAKE SURE TO BACK UP YOUR FLASH BIOS FIRST!!**

*This is UNTESTED and may cause a brick! Try at your OWN RISK*

Ill edit this thread and post back anything I find out once I receive and install my E-3 Flasher within the next 2-3 business days!!

im sure that before you can install any cfw you must be on ofw for 3.55 so this will not work bud.

What are you talking about? Lol..

I think you're confused.
My Slim120GB is on 3.55 rebugg 3.55.2 :
Im getting the E-3 Flasher so I can update to 3.7x OFW and play my Mw3 game and other 3.6x games I buy in the future.

Now, when I decide to go back to 3.55 I will use my E-3 Flasher and then flash to 3.55. When you flash/downgrade with the e-3 flasher
it puts you on "No-Check 3.55 CFW" which is a custom firmware made by the E-3 team specifically for consoles downgraded with their E-3 Flasher.

E-3 claims that their "no-check 3.55 CFW" is the only one you can use on ur console once you downgrade with the E-3 Flasher or it will cause a brick

SO: My theory is that I found out what exactly E-3's firmware relies on and why you are limited to using it other than any other CFW.
The only custom firmware I could find that I know for SURE has the same Dospiedras’s LV1 no-check patches implemented is "Rogero CFW v.2"
SO im going to trial and error and test and see if I can get Rogero firmware working on an E-3 Flashed 3.55 slim120GB console.

Why you ask? Because the E-3 Flasher firmware "no-check 3.55" limits you to ONE backup manager version of multiman(which is out dated) and from what I've heard no other backup managers or homebrew applications run... BUT I don't know ALL of the specific limitation with this "no-check 3.55" cfw but as soon as I install it in a few days Ill post a more detailed description of E-3's firmware.

Sounds like a good idea go for it Blaze. I don't think the risk would be that great either since you can back up your bios... So good on yah mate I have 4 ps3's currently so im not ordering anything unless it offers psn on either 3.55 or below or offers a software mod vs. a hardware mod. But I say go for it.

NOTE: You will need a downgrade dongle. Also reflashing is not as easy as it sounds. I went in trying to downgrade via E3 flasher using an iPhone and ended up bricking my PS3. So i looked at the unbricking method and there is no help what-so-ever in finding the actual point to solder to on your PS3.. So i've been bricked for a couple weeks now trying to find it and asking around cause there is not much help online to where it is on a DIA-002 motherboard.Just Warning make sure you are 100% sure you can unbrick before trying and methods.
