Some people confirmed that fat ps3 fine but the slim i think is a worry because none of my friends has the slim so if there is any details on this guys or you experiencing some moral damage to the console reply.

Same has been happening to me, sony should fix this or we will be sueing them. :FU: sony

The 4.0 messed my slim about it also said my hard stove had a problem and rebuilt the system luckily nothing was currupted and it all works fine now same speed as before. You can perform this yourself via the ps secret menu that is activated by a turn on sequence

I have had the same problems. I have a slim ps3 that is a little over a year old. Never had a problem with it. I was playing skyrim when it randomly kinda froze. When I say kinda, I mean I could still hear music and some of the sounds. I pressed the in game menu which took quite some time to pop up and then I just turned it off. I attempted to play MW3 and it would freeze just going into the multiplayer menu. Sometimes before I would get there, sometimes after it loaded up slower than normal. I emailed playstation they sent me through steps of restoring the file system in safe mode, which seemed to work great...Until I tried to play an mw3 multiplayer match and once again the screen goes black. So I did a hard drive wipe...nothing it still does the same thing. I did play a game of madden last night and it was fine though. Confusing. And enough to piss a man off.

I have a slim and have been having serious problems. I have tried everything. I reinstalled the 1.07 update for MW3 and the 4.0 firmware for ps3 I did the system rebuild restarted everything ie: modem, router, ps3....and nothing still freezing in the middle of games. I have to quit game via ps button and start over happens like every other game and its really FREAKING annoying!!! someone please find a fix to this cuz im aout to pull my ****ing hair out.
