WHY so SERIOUS ?
A trailer for the next Metal Gear game.
The first bit of news comes with a name change, and, well, it isn't really a good one. Rumors had been going around that "Solid" was going to be dropped from the name in order to better remove it from Snake's Metal Gear Solid adventures, and while that was true, it also comes with a bit of extra baggage. Rising has been kept in the name, but moved before the colon, and replaced with... Revengeance (Quick! Someone write that down for a Top 7... Dumbest names in gaming... article for 2012)! Yes. Revengeance. As in revenge and vengeance, together. Revengeance.
Better news comes from the switch in developer. While Kojima's team still has their hands in it, the actual role of developer has been passed over to Bayonetta and Mad World developer Platinum games. This is a perfect match, and, as the trailer shows, should lead to an even bloodier good time than we ever expected. The gameplay looks fast, brutal, and very, very Platinum. We're totally psyched.

My opinion : THE F*CKIN RUINED THE GAME :/ MGS is all about shooting and CQC ( Close quarters combat ) even thought sword fighting is abit CQC but come on whats the fun without shooting and if u check the trailer :/ he f*ckin swings his sword 50 times at one enemy untill the guy dies ? r u serious ??

Im glad since its a different dev. that it is using another title I want the Solid series to stay legit but idk if what we saw in mgs 4 is any indication of the control we will have over him in this game it could be interesting I imagine it would be more along the lines of a game like vanquish or something though if thats the case... I say leave the stealth to Snake thats what he does Raiden from what we have seen in the games is more action oriented anyway.. if you think about it all foxhound has there own style so I think any game featuring a different character should have a different play style.

i still think it looks like a fun game. idk why you thought there would be shooting guns in it when you saw the first trailer.

I lost my respect for mgs the day they went to xbox... It will have to be downgraded significantly to run on xbox, mgs4 was 49 gb on disc ..la noire was 25 gb and its 3 disc on xbox..mgs4 would not been the masterpiece it was if it was on xbox..

I'm not sure why some are getting all offended that it's more sword play than gun shooting. It's Raiden we're playing now, & considering he's a cyborg ninja, guns are useless. Granted, this won't be your typical Metal Gear but why should it be if we're no longer playing as MGS2 Raiden/Solid Snake, but as a much more powerful being?
What I'm really excited about is Metal Gear 5, which might possibly be about the Boss & the Cobra Unit in the invasion of Normandy. Any chance to learn more about the Boss, I'll take it!
