PS3 Bluetooth dies after 1 year, oh well. Time to look into a gaming headset.
1st - Turtle Beach P11: wow, I've been missing out. Definitely improved my gaming as far as CO

S&

and help react faster around corners. Loved the simple volume features.
*Got 2 big dogs and I play in the living room on a couch that's 6 feet from my HDTV. So this wired setup is killing me.*
2nd - Sony PS3 7.1: not bad, doesn't have as much bass but the complete wireless via USB dongle is winning me over. Takes a bit to pair it with my mac. Battery life is meh (6 hours roughly). Had to buy a 10ft USB cable just in case I want to charge and play. Back to wired (temporarily). Didn't really sound like 7.1 Surround Sound. Cheap feel but super comfortable though.
*PS3 headset adjustment slider breaks after a 3ft drop, like I said, completely plastic setup. I look into Tritton since friends recommended it.*
3rd - Trittons AX Pro: Reminds me of my first headset experience, sharp crisp hi's, awesome bass, back to wired but can't sacrifice real Dolby Digital 5.1. Headset is a bit heavy and not so flexible. Head grip is crazy out the box. Like the extra sound customization on the wire. Very stylish too.
*After 2 weeks and PS3 nearly being pulled out twice from dogs tripping on wires, I consider the Turtle Beach PX5's. Saw all the reviews but overlooked battery support.*
4th - Turtle Beach PX5: Real comfy, top quality sound, DD 5.1 (the works). Liking the presets feature and dual BT support for iPhone music streaming. After one week, 2 pairs of AA's gone. Hmm....gotta buy rechargeable AA's. Headset kept having hiccups with the router, heard they use the same frequency as other home devices. Starting to get annoying.
*Looking for my ideal headset, came across Astro's. Bit expensive but you if you got the money, go straight to the top brands.*
5th - Astro Wireless A40's: Excellent Sound Quality, very comfortable, DD 5.1, mix amp is nicely made with the features I wanted, rechargeable battery option was worth the extra $10, lasts 3 days on a full charge (better battery life than my iPhone) lol, setup is super simple, no more tripping wires, no signal interfering, a bit expensive but well worth it. Can hook up to all platforms plus mobile devices. Love the simple flex lay on your shoulders, like the customizable tags to put my design on, switchable mic position, mix amp can include another headphones via 3.5mm jack, very sturdy material.
After much testing this is how I'd lay out the headsets.
