(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok, so my friend apparently got pissed or something and THREW his PS3 slim down his hallway. He was going to get on it one day and it gets YLOD now. What could the throw cause to make it YLOD? Did something come loose maybe? I need help, he GAVE it to me to keep. So, if I get it fixed. I'm going to buy a E3 flasher =D There might be a reward if someone can help! Winky Winky

Open it up and see if anything has come loose?
The fix to a YLOD is to reflow or even better reball the gpu and NAND

hey,

i've had a lot of experience in broken ps3s! now as you may not know, the cracking of a motherboard can cause YLOD, so im guessing when your friend threw it, it most likely broke, so that will probably be your problem, even is the crack isn't large or visible, it can still be the cause. i think your best option is to send it to a fixing company to fix, there are however like 10% of YLOD PS3s that cannot be fixed, but lets hope this does not apply to you! (it did to me), but if this is too much effort, you can always sell it on ebay, people buy broken ps3s, but only to fix them themselves!

good luck,

mudkip
