i hav the same problem with my PHAT PS3. But im pretty sure the preblem is your bluray lens is dirty, so use a cleaner cd or if you know what you are doing, open your ps3 up and clean it manually. Im just busy and lazy so i havent gotten around to fixing mine.

Hey mate,

I had the same problem,

your blue ray lense could possibly be dirty, in this case, you gotta clean it, for best results, you're going to have to open up your PS3 and clean it manually.

If that doesn't work, there's 2 more options:

1) Get a new blue ray and install it manually (a lot of effort)
2) send it to sony/independent fixing company and get a blue ray fix, not too expensive, care free, and very reliable! (P.S. I sent mine in!)

Hope this helped

RainMaker.
Can’t trickshot me!
You could buy a cleaning disk which you insert into the drive and it reads it and cleans the lens Happy
