Hello Ngu,
So after having the newer model for around a month I figured I would give you my opinion of them. ( note this is my opinion others may disagree)

IMPORTANT, BEFORE USING THE SET GO AND TURN ON ALL THE DOLBY STUFF IN SOUND SETTINGS FOR OPTICAL, IF YOU DON'T YOU WILL THINK THEY ARE ABSOLUTE SHIT AND MIGHT RETURN THEM.

In the above picture is the headset
pros- feels durable- headset doesn't feel as if its going to break if treat them like you give a shit about them.
huge ear cups to cover your ears- this was important as I do have rather large ears as they hang out of most rounded sets like turtle beaches.
sound quality- One of the best sounding headsets I have ever had. I have owned ax180s, tb px3, tbpx21, and a few others.
looks- I have to admit it look like something you want to wear.



cons- cords every where you literally have cords everywhere, and the usb/ optical cable really isn't long enough so the mix amp needs to be close to the console

Pc support- They work fine with Pc as long as you don't need the mic, but for recording commentary/ Skype don't waste your time without a separate adapter for 25 extra bucks.

Mix amp plugs- They have redone all the ports, so the cords from other models wont work ( could've helped with pc support)

Mp3 player support- again you will need the 25 dollar adapter.

Again the plugs are changed making you use the amp, as there is no place for just the headset to plug into, for mp3/ ipod ( unless you have the 25 dollar adapter)






SOUNDWHORING

I give it a 8.5 sometimes it is hard to tell where they are although you know they are close, other times its plain as day its really hit or miss. ( for you cod guys put on sitrep pro this things are close to cheating that way.

Overall rating 9/10
great headset for the price, im hard pressed to find any other in its price range that it doesn't destroy in sound quality.

Lol @ the guy who told me in the chat thing that I am making this up as I am "too poor" to have these. They arent really that expensive.

There is no red/ white its a optical connection just set your settings for multi output. red/white to the pvr optical to the mix amp = win

hmmmm but then theres a optical slot for the PS3 and HD PVR so ethier one needs to be connected to have the awesome sound..

I got the new model Ax Pros and the mixamp has two ports and sound whoring works fine its brilliant

you could do that or buy a 2 way optical.



Although the sound whoring is a bit better, the overall sound of the game sounds better to me with the 720s. If you put on sitrep pro in mw2 or 3 the 720 absolutely poops on the pros, because the sound is way more cleaner. If you don't have sitrep pro the Axpro user will hear you before you hear them.
Again this is my opinion only and doesnt represent what everyone believes to be true.

I had the 720's but they just didnt satisfy me tbh, so i went and bought the Axpros and got the new model. I use dead silence and with my custom time delay settings & custom front, centre, rear & sub settings its just as easy to soundwhore as any other cod. I can share my settings for the new mixamp if people want but i foun the new models Ax Pros better than the 720's. I dont need sitrep pro just use dead silence and with the right settings all is fine

Did you have the new model 720's? sound whoring is fine, just with sitep its so much better. I have already acknowledged the pros are better for soundwhoring however they are more expensive as well.

Ye got them before christmas but decided to exchange them for the Ax Pros instead There both great but for me soundwhoring is what i bought them for lol. I got my Ax Pros for £120 so it was just a straight swap from the 720's to the Pros
