What do you mean by version? do you mean firmware? There are only two "versions" of the PS3, the slim and the phat.

if you mean firmware, it all depends where you buy it from and when, right now I think they will be loading them all with 4.00, but it doesn't matter because as soon as you head online you'll have to update,

mine came on 3.65 so i suppose its the same

mine also came on 3.65, bought from argos!

i bought a slim 160gb from argos just before xmas it was 3.65 and was 3003a series but i swapped it for a 3.55 fattie

it depends on where you buy it from, some small "mom an pop" ive seen have got fw's all the back to 3.41, it really just depends.
