Post: Questions about Jailbreaking
01-20-2012, 08:41 AM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); 1. When you first buy a ps3, is it on the latest ofw or is it blank (I think i can remember having to update when i first got my ps3 but im not 100% sure)
2. Does Jailbreaking in anyway shorten the life span of your ps3 or give it a higher chance to get Yellow Light of Deat
and 3. If i turn the internet off and only use an ethernet cable to do a Data Transfer Utility, will i get caught and the console gets bricked,
If you know the answers to any of these questions then can you please quote when answering

1. The Ps3 is not up-to-date, but I am unsure of what firmware it comes on.
2. I do not see how Jailbreaking could cause the console to have a shorter life span or influence YLOD to itself.
3. With internet disabled, that means they should not be able to see you and Data Transferring should work fine.

hey man,

1 - the ps3 is not on the latest firmware, it usually comes pre-loaded with a previous firmware, however i think from now on, ps3s will come loaded with firmware 4.00
2 - Jailbreaking does not effect your console life.
3 - If your internet is definitely disabled they cannot locate you and therefore data transfer is completely safe.

hope this helped,

why would you need to disable your internet to do data transfer. why would you try to hide it, it's a feature that is intended to be used, your not gonna get banned by doing this come on now a little common sense can go a long way.
