I have successfully downgraded 4 times on the same ps3 and have only bricked my ps3 once (so far).
I bricked my ps3 during my 4th downgrade test, but it is very simple to fix... i think i might make a vid on how to fix it, idk yet maybe. And i also want to make a fully instructed and detailed video Downgrade tutorial video, Should I do both????.............. only if people want it.

Only if it is done right. I suspect your ylod was not from the E3 but from the PS3 over heating. I seen your other thread mentionoing the ylod. This is the most common problem for ylod. Unless you fry your mother board you can usually come back from a ylod.

Anyways, As long as you actually take the time to make it detailed and fully descriptive then I say go right ahead and do so.

If I were you, before making the videos, i would write out a guide line of everything to cover so you're not winging it the whole way through. Thats how things are left out.

I didn't realize it earlier, but it wasn't a ylod just a brick, and it was from the E3 Flasher because during my 4th downgrade test i was restoring the nor and it had 3 blue led lights on and i got an error. Then I turned it off and turned it back on and it was bricked :FU:
But like i said, it is very easy to fix =D

Yea i like to see that to cause im 90% done to . but mine is telling me to intall the latest firmware i try but nothing

The fix for a brick is simple .. I think people are forgetting the recovery menu .. And on subject of ylod it's a overheating problem in the ps3 if anything I would say buy some better thermal compound to put on the 2 large elements on the motherboard this will help.

Ya it would be awesome if you made a complete downgrade video. The other video is very confusing.

Well actually that was the first thing i tried but you cant access the recovery menu at all.

I always backup my nor flash and keep it in folders but the very first original dump should work...it worked for me when i first bricked it
