I would just hold on to it because you never know what games may get hacked. For example, if Mw3 has challenge lobbies, then you will probably regret updating or selling it (Then again, you will have a chance of getting banned in Mw3 lol) You can sell a 3.55 ps3 for good money, but people dont want to spend more than $350, and it can be sold for MUCH more. I personally have a ps3 slim on 3.55 and I am going to hold on to it for now. I think you should just hold on to it for now, but whatever you do, don't update it. If you really don't want it anymore, try to sell it for at least $350

might i suggest investing in a hardware flasher and get it updated and if u ever feel like u just wanna play sum free psn games or a pirated game then at least u got the choice of downgrading back to 3.55

beleive me and i speak from experience i was downloading games left right and centre and enjoying cfw and pirate games oh and psn aswell (R.I.P)

online got the better of me and i updated not realising what i had just done

i spent ages if not months wanting to go back down to 3.55


and i have just recently swapped my 160gb slim on 4.0 for a 80gb on 3.50 and im loving it

exetrimall ps1 games a few pirated games aswell well worth it and dont miss psn 1 bit

but im getting a 2nd ps3 for online this cuming friday so win win for me

right i see loads of people looking around 4 them as there rare cuz its cfw so id say keep hold of it because they seem to be get lower and lower in numbers and tbf u never know what games may get hacked

plus i dont see there being a new CFW any time soon. And if there

agree 100% i was lucky to get a 3.50 80gb from a seller on facebook a few days ago

its rare now these days to find a 3.55 ps3 1 year on from the first cfw release

yea thats true but if 4.00 jailbreak comes out your shit out of luck because your console goes from about 350 dollars to 150 if your lucky

Dude I've been trying to find a PS3 with a fw at 3.55 or lower, I got a 2nd PS3 but it's at 3.72, So I'm gonna sell mine, but I just gotta wait for some more money, cause the store that I can sell it to wants for $169, that means I need another $50 or more to get another 1 :mad:

I had same issue awhile back and decided to keep it and buy another ps3 for psn. I'm glad I did. When friends are over we still play lan party w/ mods "a couple anyway" . Just my $ .02.
