Anyway, if you own the Official PS3 Headset, shown below:
You must login or register to view this content.

Then you can actually use it as a headset for your laptop as well! Smile
You can record audio (mostly your voice anyways) and listen to music,
blah blah blah...anything you could normally do with it on a PS3.
If you want to do this, then just take the USB that plugs into the PS3 and simply plug
it in to your laptop. Simple as that! It should install the drivers for it automatically and all you have to do is
turn on your headset and you're good to go.

I renamed it to say PS3 Headset but you can name it whatever you want.
By the way, they sound amazing and the quality is superb. I haven't experienced
any latency or problems. However, if you hear some "static-ness", I suggest shutting
off the Virtual Surround Sound on the headset. This doesn't affect audio quality but
I believe it may stop the static. And if you use iTunes, try messing around with the
equalizer to find the best sound for your tastes.
Have fun! Smile

*EDIT*
Be careful with your laptop volume level as well. If you have that too loud, along with
your headset turned up, you'll blow the drivers and you won't have a working headset
any more. But that's just common sense :dumb:

I keep my laptop sound level around here

Along with the headset about 1/4th of the way up. Its a good balance that's
a good volume.
