restoring ps3 will still keep u on the current firmware your on just it will wipe all contents of your hard drive

no , and ppl saying fw isnt on the HDD it only is when you update the fw its a temp storage place to write to flash memory , anyway no you cant as the fw isnt there anymore and wouldnt work that way anyway kay:

if ur on 3.55 cfw just find the ofw pup put it on da flash drive n over write it does the samething m8 just make shure it says 3.55 b4 installing
