(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So every time I turn on my PS3, it boots up and and doesn't display anything on the TV. I've double checked the inputs on the TV and on my PS3 so I knew I had my TV on the right input. I tried reseting the display settings by holding the power till it beeps a second time and i've tried booting to the safe menu without either showing on my TV, i've tried this on a composite cable as well and it hadn't worked. I tried calling SONY, 1(800)345-SONY, and they couldn't help (Offered $99.99 to fix it). If there is any solution on getting this fixed please tell me as this is my only 3.55 PS3!

I had this problem when my HDMI output blew out. You said you tried composite cables but did you try holding the power button for 10 seconds after only hooking up the composite or a/v cables? This is the only way my old PS3 displays anymore, in bomb quality A/V output.

has it worked before?

Can you test the connectivity in the cords?

Are you sure it is not your TV acting up?

Yes, i've been using it since last november but it was used at the time, I made sure the cords were connected, and my SONY LCD TV is acting fine, the guy at Sony told me to unplug it and plug it back in, obviously I tried it yet no success. :(

try it out on multiple displays. Just try to do a process of elimination I guess. Worst case, you're going to need to get a new PS3. :(

What about getting another motherboard? I know that may be a hassle, but if you don't wan't to let your ps3 go,
thats another option you could try.

Narrow it down if you can, when you boot up your PS3 can you hear the playstation welcome screen in the background ? Its a good way of knowing whether its a display output problem or something else. What was the last thing you were doing on it when it was working ? So youve tried resetting to 480p mode & trying to access recovery mode using hdmi cables & av cables - have you tried on a different TV ? If it doesn't work on another tv then it could be the motherboard or a brick or a problem with the back panel of your PS3 which houses the outputs/power adapter/ethernet cable.

Is the seal already broken? If so take it apart and look around the area of the video connections and see if there are any burnt chips ect.

try it on a different TV maybe? and if anyone you know has a different cord, try that. or try hooking someone else's ps3 up to your tv, and if that works try their ps3 with your cord. if the cord and tv works fine, it must be the ps3!
