(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok so i sent an e-mail to sony asking how to become a beta tester and this was the reply :-

How can I become a beta tester?

The Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) Beta testing program occasionally selects consumers to help test and provide feedback for upcoming software titles.

To be considered for future beta opportunities we recommend signing up for a PlayStation®Network account and keeping your account profile up to date. Make sure you frequently update your Account Profile, Notification Preferences, Gaming Preferences, and Game Library with the most up-to-date information. By doing so, you will automatically update your personal profile for any upcoming beta testing opportunities.

In addition, to be considered for beta opportunities for the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system, a user must be at least 18 years old with a valid PlayStation®Network account, and opted-in to receive marketing material under Notification Preferences in PSN Account Management.
Click here to find out how to change your Notification Preferences to receive marketing materials.

Note: SCEA receives many more registrations for beta testers than we can responsibly accept. Users are selected weighting different factors including but not limited to:

Geographic location
Demographic information
Internet usage
Game play variables (as required by that particular game's beta testing objectives)

Occasionally, special beta sign up opportunities may arise by purchasing subscriptions (i.e., Qore) or by pre-ordering a specific software title. Please check with the software title publisher to find out about any future beta opportunities.Smile

I know most of you will already know this, i did, except for the part where it say's you must OPT-IN TO RECIEVE MARKETING MATERIAL. I'm the kind of person who always tick's no to marketing from third partys.

So if you want a better chance change your notification preferences in your account management.

PlayStation Network users may choose to receive periodic notifications about new products, special offers, beta opportunities, and other promotions. These can be updated via the Notification Preferences.

To update via the PLAYSTATION 3 Sign into your PlayStation Network account.

On the XMB™ home menu, go to (PlayStation®Network) > (Account Management) and press the x button.

Highlight [Account Information] and press the x button.

Highlight [Notification Preferences] and press the x button.

Check the check boxes if you wish receive notifications or uncheck them if you wish to opt-out.

Once done highlight "Confirm" press x and your notifications will be updated.
