We all know the long-running franchises such as Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter, right? Well, it seems as if a lot of people including game developers are interested in merging both of the titles to one and creating an awesome Mortal Kombat vs. Street Fighter game. However, there are still things that need to be worked out. If you've been a fan of Mortal Kombat, you'll notice the fighters enjoy being brutal, tearing limbs and organs, while Street Fighter characters aren't as aggressive - but there still is hope!

Ed Boon, the Co-Creator of Mortal Kombat, tweeted that he is looking forward to attending the MKvsSF meeting. Keep in mind that this could very well be a joke, but it could definitely go either way.

Earlier last week, Boon was speaking about how it was great to meet some of his friends from DICE, including Campcom's Seth Killian, whom tweeted he was "delighted" to see Boon.

If you're thinking what I'm thinking, then you'd like to know: is he being real? Will there be a Mortal Kombat vs. Street Fighter game in the future?

I honest to god hope this never happens. I don't want to see SF characters attempting fatalities or all of the characters having that same damned pose on the versus screen like in MK. stiff shoulders, arms out wide, scowling with balled up fists.

IF for some reason it occurs, I hope Capcom handles it.
