I'm just going to be straight forward and say, I have no idea what's going on anymore.
This article is going to be very opinionated, as I am really confused and
there isn't anything other than the information
I'm about to share.

Supposedly, some former employees of AMD, a leading competitor in graphics cards, have said that
Sony is most definitely working on a new console. And AMD may or may not take part in the process.
When asked about it, the company declined to comment on the speculation and George Bailey, Sony's
Chief Transformation Officer, has also declined to comment on the unannounced console, and even
refuted its existence. Another tidbit of information is that AMD has stated that a lot of revenue in 2012 will
come from gaming.

With this information, no one can ever be sure if Bailey and AMD are keeping their lips sealed to
avoid revealing any information, or there could possibly be no new console at all. What I will say though,
is that I believe Sony will uphold their statement about the PS3 having a 10 year life cycle. When the company
said thereYou must login or register to view this content., I believe that. However, I also believe that Sony could
be currently looking into some things for the console. (i.e AMD and its graphics cards) What all this information
means is, to me at least, that no there will not be any presence of the PS4 for a while. But, Sony is currently starting
up the development stage, and trying to get ideas put on to paper and brainstorm as much as possible. Also, in
reference to AMD's revenue this year, keep in mind that a lot of PC's use AMD graphics cards. So in terms of revenue,
this could simply mean that revenue could be coming from PC gaming as well.

In all honesty, I don't know what to think. But what I do know, and what I believe, is that there will DEFINITELY not be
a PS4 for a couple more years. Yet, I believe Sony is looking into options for the PS4, and exploring some ideas for its
hardware. I want to hear your opinion, considering that there is a lot of speculation at this current juncture.

Typical Sony.

Exactly. It probably would have been easier for me to just say what you said instead of writing all that out :p

Well its like I've said before its just about that time to hear an announcement... obviously that doesn't mean the console would come out soon if they just announced it once that happens it'll still be around a year before we saw it at least. They said 2I things also in the past 1that was no new console at E3 another was no new console in 2012. This doesn't mean they wont announce the console just that it wont come out there are still a couple trade shows plus CES and ETA they could announce it at this year still doesn't mean we would have a chance to see it before holiday 2013.

I doubt that they would announce it any other than E3. I mean, thats just my opinion.
I've always thought CES to be like the electronic/gadget show. E3 is strictly gaming, and
I'm sure the PS4 would get more response and hype at E3 than anything.

I am sure ity would be too rich for my blood for a while anyway. It will take them a year or two after release to come out with the one that everyone wants anyway like they did with the slim.

Do a barrel roll!
i'll believe it when i see it....... there was talk that the ps3 and similar consoles were going to be the last of their kind. future "upgrades" are going to be integrated right into the television itself and all games will be downloads........ this in addition to cutting down manufacturing costs, will help to eliminate game-sharing and reselling of games.

I am with you on that. Also, what would the ps4 bring to the table that the ps3 currently cannot do? How much better can the graphics get?
