Well, you can't really get ready. Because you're not allowed to see it.
One of the most ubiquitous and prolific gaming technologies out today is Unreal Engine 3. It has been
used in a plethora of titles, including big hits such as Mortal Kombat, Asura's Wrath, and Gears of War 3.
Epic Games has been hard at work developing its successor, cleverly titled Unreal Engine 4. They are planning
on showcasing the engine behind closed doors next week at GDC. (Game Developers Conference) Epic is showing
the engine to "select licensees, partners, and prospective customers", and those who wish to see
are only being allowed to do so by appointment, and by signing a very strict agreement basically not to leak anything.
Or else they will suffer a painful death by chainsaw. Joking...
If you want to catch a preview of some tantalizing visuals, well...you can't catch a preview.
Unless you make an appointment to do so at GDC.
