First off, a sequel to Dead Space 2 is imminent. If you played the game in full, you'll understand.
And also, because I demanded Visceral to make one. On a serious note however, a successor to Dead Space 2 is more than likely in the works.
And a job listing by Visceral Games Montreal and EA that says this,

Also, just as another tidbit of info, rumors hit last year of Dead Space 3. And also that the game will
take place on an ice planet. This information I don't have any evidence for but it sure does sound interesting.
But just the thought alone of Necromorphs exploding into bits of meat is pretty tantalizing.

So you tell me what you guys think? Is the thought of Dead Space 3 with a Frostbite 2 engine as erotic to you as it is to me?

+1 to this. i played dead space 1 because i was bored with what i had and a friend recommended it after he found it.... one of the best games i've played. tough. great story. creeped me out. not 100% original (all games are the same) but it was very different from what i'd seen.

can't wait for this.

Dead Space games are always amazing. As long as they continue to be survival horror type, I'm satisfied.

Dead Space 1 was amazing, nearly shit myself a couple times during the campaign, :p 2 was alright, can't wait for 3 though! =D

I'm super stoked for this game whenever it comes out! The Dead Space series is superb and this next game shouldn't be
any less superb.
