Soon for the Playstation 3, Persona 4 Arena will be coming to a store near you. The game looks quite enjoyable (surprisingly), due to it's unique gameplay and graphics.

One of the most successful, and highest rated RPG franchises as of lately, is the Persona series. The two newest games created, Persona 3 and Persona 4, were loved due to their "memorable casts of characters, plots that defied many established clichés, and mechanics and visual designs that stood apart from their competitors."

Developing a collaberation with the fighting genre veterans, Arc System Works, ATLUS (the creators of Persona), is taking Persona by the horns, completed with it's "SUMMON YOUR INNER POWER!" feature, and creating the game into one of the utmost unique, visually graphic fighting titles you've ever had the privilege of seeing.

The previous title of Persona 4 was all about a different world within the television, and those who were thrown in this world were featured on the abstruse "Midnight Channel", which only had a few days to live. The newer title, Persona 4 Arena, takes place shortly after the "Midnight Channel" was cut off, however there is a new channel that includes an abnormal fighting tournament with lives on the line, and a whole lot at stake. And yes, once this channel is discovered, you (and others), are required to join in on the fun.

However the gameplay shouldn't be the only thing that draws your attention when it comes to Persona 4 Arena, every single fighter (there are 10 fighters), can summon their own "Personas" for special attacks. This means, not only does every character have an amazingly high amount of combinations and fighting styles, but you get a little bonus on the side (correction, a big bonus), a summon that helps you with your fighter.

Here are some of the most popular characters of the ten in the game (if you've played the previous titles, you'll know who's who):

  • Chie Satonaka
  • Aigis
  • Mitsuru Kirijo
  • Teddie - Seems to be a fan favorite

Just put into consideration that Persona 4 Arena has just recently been announced, so not all of the details are quite out there. However, with the game (that's being released in August of 2012), it's confirmed there is a new console-exlusive (PS3) story and online modes. Sony is also trying to recover the full English voice cast from the previous games of Persona 3, 4, and they cannot say whether or not the original Japanese voice track will be added also.
