Instead of it fixing the video or getting the hard reset, the ps3 just turns off and it no longer takes disks. Something similar happened to me right before the YLOD appeared. Can you get the PS3 to enter the "Fan test" mode?

I do not have the 40g so i can't, unless you know a way to do it on non-40g ps3

Can you go on Recovery Mode ?

Do you have the E3 Flasher ?

I cannot go into recovery and i do not have an E3 flasher

First off, don't do the "fan test". Most people ruin their PS3's that way because it is basically an instant overheat for
your Playstation which equals a fucked PS3. From the sound of it, your PS3 is overheating the instant it turns on. This
could mean the heat sinks need to be re-covered with some compound. I've fixed a PS3 and a couple Xbox's this way
but it means you have to take your PS3 apart which can be risky if you haven't done it before. If you don't feel comfortable doing
this, then my only recommendation is to spend the money to get it fixed.

Recommend you get your PS3 repaired by an independent fixing company, quick, easy and cheap,
