Post: EA Shuts Down More Servers - Some for Games with Online Passes

As you probably already know, EA has a history of shutting down servers for games that are a bit older or have multiplayer communities that have otherwise dwindled. In other words, you buy an EA game from a couple of years ago, pop it in and the multiplayer simply does not work anymore.
The thing about this new list of server shutdowns is that some of the games haven't been out long at all (Spare Parts has only been out for a year and EA Sports MMA has only been out for 18 months), but apparently their MP communities have dwindled enough by EA standards that they've been deemed not worth running anymore. And some had online passes, which means despite many specifically paying for online access to these MP games in some cases, they'll no longer get to play them.
I'm sure the heads-up is buried in the contractual nonsense somewhere, but EA should have to put a sticker on their games that no longer have multiplayer content so people know what they're getting into when they see them on store shelves. I dunno. What do you think?

BOOM BLOX Bash Party for Wii
Burnout Revenge for Xbox 360
EA Create for PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii
EA Sports Active 2.0 for PS3, Wii, and Xbox 360
EA Sports Active NFL Training Camp for Wii
FIFA 10 for PSP and Wii
The Godfather II for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360
EA Sports MMA for PS3 and Xbox 360
Need for Speed ProStreet for PS3 and Xbox 360
The Saboteur (loss of Midnight Club Access) for PS3 and Xbox 360

I doubt the Burnout servers would ever get shut down. It's one of the best multiplayer experiences I've had with any game and always seems to be lots of people playing it, even though the game has been out for four years.
I just hope EA don't shut down the FIFA 11 and NHL 11 servers any time soon, I'm trying to work on multiplayer grinding trophies for those two games as much as I can. Still seems to be a lot of people playing those two games so they might go for a while longer.

Create is a pain in the ass so I highly recommend doing that. Although I don't believe there really is any trophies online, currently people post the solutions online on their servers than you can look up. It was very useful.
And I know someone that works for EA and they said they base their server shutdowns when the amount of users is below 1%. So as long as games are active online, they will not shut it down. I never asked what exactly the 1% referred to but I assume it must be active users.

When i heard this i went and bought EA MMA and got the Platinum before they shut the servers down.
