According to a few PlayStation 3 owners, invites have been going out for a PlayStation Network Beta.

Anyone received an invite for the beta?

Update: We’ve since found out that the PSN Beta portal is for testers to report on specific titles,
it’s not related to a beta test of the network itself.

We’ve received word from a Twitter tweet that Sony’s European branch (SCEE) is inviting users to test drive what it calls a PSN beta. The sign-up page is located You must login or register to view this content., however, those that did not receive an invite are simply greeted with a permission error after logging in.

There’s no word yet on what is being tested behind the scenes, unfortunately. It could be a total revamp of PSN or something as small as added website functionality, which may or may not be specific to the EU PlayStation site. At any rate, here’s hoping more light will be shed on this within the coming weeks.

yes i can sign in, its just a place for beta trailists to get their stuff ( redemption codes ) and give feedback ( polls, forums etc ), not too sure if i can say anything else because of NDA.
