(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So we all know that current generation consoles do 1080P well that is about the best we can get in graphics, what i mean is 1080P means 1080 pixels per inch well how many PPI can the human eye see before it is pointless to do anymore?

Its about 1080 (maybe a bit more) so pretty much at the moment there wont be a need for higher amounts (but they still will) it will all come down to FPS, response etc now, so in the future of 2160P you will think is that that mych better?

They can still improve the FPS, response tike, clarity, etc all that but in detail where about at the limit...

They already have resolutions past 1080p. Its not ready for consumers at all, but the technology is indeed there.
I'll post a link later on.

yeah i know that and the reason they haven't been released is they need to make up the money it took to develop HD 1080 before they sell >1080

Yeah exactly. There's no way it can be made available to consumers until the technology becomes cheaper.

The "p" in 1080p also refers to the difference between the "i" in 1080i. P being a progressive scan and I being an interlaced video. From what I've read, progressive scan is better.

P is better. P is one image being displayed at you at a time, where i is 2 images (interlaced) being flashed at an extremely high rate to give you 1 image.

Yeah, that's exactly what I read. I noticed with Plasma TV's a second layer of imaging if you have ever used one. maybe 1080i is better used for those? I play with 1080p fine on my LCD.
