I had a Red Bull x2010 F1 car on Gran Turismo 5, is there any way to recover this?

Thanks.

I don't think you can get it back unless you backed up you're save data onto a USB I'm afraid. I'm not sure if GT5 has online storage, but it would be worth finding out.

Put the old hard drive in the new system?

You ps3 will try to format the hard drive when you put it in, so be careful.

Once you put the hard drive in you can turn it on and it will prompt for a format. You can turn it off and boot into recovery/safe mode. Turn the system off then switch it back so the power is going to it, red light on only. Hold the power button until you hear 2 beeps, then let go. The red button will appear again. Now hold it until you hear 3 beeps then let go. If done correctly you will have a menu come up (if not, try again). Select #3, Restore file system.

Now it will setup and integrate you Hard drive with the XMB, Blu-ray Drivers, and firmware and it should look like what it did before.

Look online to see how to get into to recovery mode if my instructions are not clear.

Good luck!

PS: I am not saying this will work 100% there can always be problems with any type of setup especially after a detrimental happening like the YLOD on the same hard drive. So do some research as well around the net. But this is the best method for your situation.

Try doing what Omniplasa said. If that doesn't work for some reason then try getting a SATA to USB cable and hook your HDD to your computer and possibly gett the gamesave off it that way?

That does not work.....
PS3 wipes the HDD , each HDD is coded with the ID of the PS3.
Different HDD from a different source get another ID PS3 wipes it.

You are talking about installed a bigger HDD to the PS3 not what the OP is asking Smile
