There have been rumors lingering about God of War IV, a hack-n-slash third person videogame controlled by none other than the demigod Kratos, starting in November back in 2011, where a New Zealand retailer put a pre-order opportunity for the game (and of course, quickly taking it down), which by no surprise led people to believe that the new God of War was indeed in development, or ready to be released. Following these retailed rumors via the internet, this year there have been some suspicious details revealed about both God of War IV and Syphon Filter 4, which NextGenUpdate members have been following and posting.

However, most recently (last Wednesday), Sony teased a new game set to be revealed on April 19th, which a Sony representative said that the title involved both "vengeance" and "redemption", which is an obvious sign knowing that the God of War franchise is based solely upon both of those subjects.

Also, another big piece of evidence regarding the upcoming title, a picture of the case in a store, which should have you convinced.

The picture portrayed in the spoiler above was reportedly taken at a BT Games store in Johannesburg, South Africa at the Cresta Shopping Center, and both provides God of War IV's recognizable logo, but also gives you a visual of shoppers being given the opportunity to pre-order.

Also, if you look closely into the cover of the pre-order cover, the top left-hand corner shows that it's classified as a "shooter", which is quite suspicious. But there are possibilities that it could've been a placeholder, a common mistake, or maybe God of War IV will be a third-person shooter (anything's possible).

It could go either way when it comes to the truth, nothing has been confirmed, but if this evidence given is honest, then BT Games is ahead of most retailers when it comes to promoting future titles. What do you think, is the evidence legitimate or fake?
