A report by Kotaku which cites industry sources says that the next PlayStation console won’t have a Cell processor or any possible successor to the CPU which is powering its current console – The PlayStation 3.
The site also says that the graphics will be powered by AMD.
In secrecy, AMD’s new CEO Rory Read’s profile claimed that the graphic giants was making deals with Sony.
VG247 has claimed that the PS4 would be launched before the new Xbox console would be launched. Sony is confident about it. Maybe the PlayStation needs more consumers and advertising it would get more users to get it first.
It is also said that the PS4 would block the use of USED GAMES. So in order for you to play games , they need to be NEW. Maybe they are using activation codes just like EA("Electronic Arts") is using.

“If one does it and the others don’t, the one who does it will see a loss of market share.”
This can hurt not only small businesses but also huge businesses. It may also hurt Sony. If users knowingly knew that they couldn't play USED games, the consumers would not like to even buy the new console. Sony has to help us too in these economic difficulties. This may give benefits to the video game makers such as Activision CO. and Electronic Arts because people will be forced into buying a new copy. GameStop may refuse to carry the PS4 because of it not playing USED games , since GameStop specializes in used games.

"...for it to work, all three major platform makers – Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo, will have to implement it at once, but he feels that neither of them “are stupid enough to do this unilaterally” or 'evil enough to do it together'. This will result is massive loss for the one who does."
