Post: PlayStation Network to go offline for eight hours next week

The maintenance period is scheduled for 4pm GMT (8am PST) on Wednesday, May 9 until midnight (4pm PST).

he outage takes place on the same day that the European PlayStation Store is updated, although purchases made before it goes offline will not be affected.

PlayStation Home will be completely unavailable, while the PlayStation Store, customer account management and user registration will also be disabled.

Users wishing to play online during the period must sign into PlayStation Network before maintenance begins.

It will be the second time that PSN has been affected in a week folllowing maintenance yesterday (May 2).

There was a maintenance may 2? :blank: And 8 am to 4 pm that's awesome and on a Wednesday better then Friday or Saturday to be honest.:satisfied: The one thing i wish would be that they actually fix shit when they do these... And add cross-game chat :srsly:...

When they are in maintenance they delete accounts that have been inactive for 6 months or more they look through the grief reports and ban the people that have broken the rules. Check for any Ps3 errors so they can fix them for the next software update

i highly doubt cross-game chat will be available due to the ps3's ram being to small... :(

Yeah last time i checked the ps3 had 256mb ram and xbox 360 had 512mb ram..Damn it i hate that we can't have that, maybe in the next Playstation..:happycry:

The Vita has cross game chat so it's safe to say it's also going to be available on the next Playstation.
