(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Basicly I got a controller few years ago DualShock 3, and I haven't used it within the last year as it has been messed up and only decided to see if anyone knows a fix now. The controller itself it fine no broken buttons or nothing but when i turn on it like presses buttons itself and keeps going left, right, up and down without me even touching the controller. Now I have messed about wit the controller pushing in all the buttons a few times, and moving the sticks about but yet it still does this. I also tried pressing the reset button at the back a few times and reconnected to the ps3 but nothing works. Any Help?

Try pulling the L3 And R3 out, (Not completely) Just untill they raise up a little. When doing this it takes the sticks out of the sensors, then move them around a bit to reset them. After that push them back in. If its the D-Pad, then you'r fucked. sorry.

I don't think you will be able to fix it unless you take it apart and clean it, but that's kind of risky if you don't know what you're doing.

yes I'd advise open it up. I had to do this after i clicked L3 and it didn't unclick :l

But getting the sticks back into place (and the rest) can be a pain in the ass :S

I mean, this is probably a last resort but.. Get a small screwdriver and open the controller up and clean it out with a cotton swab. Just get the dust and gaming tears Upside Down HappycarlingSmile out of there. If that doesn't work idk what will.
