i will mainly be streaming music from my laptop. i used the PS3 media server from You must login or register to view this content. and the sound quality wasn't very good. i used the media server that i have through VUZE but sometimes it doesn't wanna work :/

I use PS3 Media Server if it is a file that needs to be converted e.g. MKV - sometimes I can't be bothered converting it then transferring it to PS3 so I use PS3 Media Server. I have used Vuze in the past but prefer PMS (lol)

If your thinking about using a phone or ipod, get an app called iMediaShare it works prefectly with ps3.
