Slim is also quieter & doesn't get as hot as the fattys.

ps3 slim is better cause it can stay on for extended periods of time and not over heat plus it doesn't freeze up like the fat ps3 does

Woah, I'd say hold out mate! There's a new model due and it's pretty sexy. The price point will likely be super competitive too. Available in 16GB, 250GB and 500GB capacity, apparently.

And here's a size comparison. It is expected to be announced at Gamescom, which is in thirty days.

Nice, but surely 16GB is a typo, that size hard drive would be useless. I think they've missed a zero off the end.

Yeah, I thought that too, and there is some word on the net that it is indeed a typo. Other people have made the case that it is to directly compete with the 4GB Xbox, which makes sense I suppose. Though, I agree that 16GB would be almost useless.

You always could just get another hard drive, with would be cheap i would think. The 16gb would most like be around 150$, and a 1tb hard drive is only around 100 or so.

Well Ya unless you care about ps2 backward compatabilty I would just wait for that super slim ps3 as there no need to get the slim now with that coming out and having much largers harddrives from the start.
